Responsibilities

What you'll be doing

As the Executive Assistant to the Vice President, Equity and International, you will:

  • Be accountable for contributing to the success of the Equity and International portfolio by providing high-quality, confidential, executive/administrative support to the Vice President's office.
  • Actively support the Vice President's office in advancing the day-to-day operations and achievement of long-term goals.
  • Be responsible for ensuring the daily activities of the Vice President are organized efficiently. This involves coordinating calendars, email and phone calls, meeting logistics and file management.
  • Respond to inquiries, initiate actions and respond independently when appropriate, and demonstrate independence and initiative in anticipating needs.
  • Fully support the Vice President, in their work on a wide range of issues and opportunities of organizational significance, including human resources, budget planning, stakeholder relations and more.
  • Exceptional planning, organizational, and communication skills are a necessity, and experience in providing advice and support for effective file and time management is essential.
Qualifications

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary credential in business, office administration, or equivalent. High school completion with significant years of administrative experience will also be considered.

  • You have a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience working at senior administrative levels within fast-paced, highly confidential office environments.

  • You have proven experience collaborating with a diverse team to meet common goals.

  • You have proven experience with organizing and prioritizing a demanding workload while meeting deadlines.

  • You have demonstrated communication skills with the ability to translate information into clear and concise messages that can be shared with different audiences within all levels of an organization.

  • You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, E-mail.

  • You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology to create an exceptional student experience.
