City Inspector - Engineering

Permanent, Full-time, $41.03/hour

The Role

Under the general supervision of the Manager of Engineering, the City Inspector Engineering Services interprets and ensures work is performed in conformity with all applicable municipal and other regulatory standards, codes and specifications as they pertain to construction within the City of Mount Pearl; obtains field data and performs survey work; provides background information and prepares cost estimates and reports as required.

The Ideal Candidate

Considerable experience in a related area supplemented by graduation from a post-secondary institution in Civil Engineering Technology or related program from a recognized post-secondary institution with eligibility for registration with the Association of Engineering Technicians and Technologists of Newfoundland and Labrador (AETTNL); course work in environmental site assessments would be an asset; or sufficient qualifications as determined by assessment.
