Job Description:

CUSTOMER

  • Receive and act upon Retail prospect referrals and triage to PWM home of best fit based on initial discovery.
  • Perform in-depth / high level discovery sessions with U/HNW clients to understand their financial goals objectives and identify franchising opportunities across Wealth and / or other Bank channels.
  • Onboard U/HNW clients and act as a trusted relationship manager while providing a high touch service experience.
  • Provide deep specialized advice with every client interaction; in alignment with a client's financial needs, contributing to an exceptional client experience.
  • Perform / complete all onboarding, banking activities / transactions and high complexity credit solutions to the highest value and sophisticated personal clients.
  • Advanced knowledge of Commercial Banking products and services to support the overall client relationship.
  • Conduct frequent proactive client follow-ups to ensure client expectations are being met in alignment with their unique complex financial needs and plans.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to deepen client relationships and work collaboratively with various Wealth and Bank partners to offer highly complex credit solutions to U/HNW clients.

SHAREHOLDER

  • Complete financial transactions of increasing moderate complexity (deposit, credit, and Banking transactions); contribute to the achievement of business objectives by proactively attracting, acquiring, and retaining clients / advice opportunities and referrals, to increase profitability and enable business growth; this role is particularly responsible for achieving market share growth through acquiring business.
  • Promote and offer full suite of products, advice, services, banking and credit capabilities.
  • Analyse credit and underwriting requests by ensuring adjudication in accordance with assigned discretionary limits and established guidelines.
  • Maximize business opportunities and profitability by consistently applying Private Banking fees and pricing.
  • Ensure adherence to operating standards and processes – perform quality checks and validation of work.
  • Prioritize and manage own workload to meet SLA requirements for service and productivity.
  • Consistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality; escalate issues where appropriate.
  • Contribute to the achievement of business objectives by proactively attracting, acquiring and retaining customers / sales opportunities and referrals, to increase profitability and enable business growth.
  • Promote and offer full suite of products, sales, services and banking capabilities.
  • Contribute to business objectives for Operational Excellence
  • Support the timely and accurate completion of business processes and procedures.
  • Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high risk transactions / activities as necessary.
  • Ensure documentation that is prepared / completed is accurate and properly reflects client / business intentions and is consistent with relevant rules / regulations.
  • Ensure necessary due diligence to support the accuracy of all customer transactions / activities.
  • Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts.
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite.
  • Assume responsibility to minimize operational and regulatory risk by complying with Bank and industry Code of Conduct

BREADTH & DEPTH:

  • Experienced professional with advanced specialized expertise in a range of banking and credit products / services concepts and processes that could be characterized by moderate complexity / risk.
  • Requires advanced understanding of a range of product and services, processes, procedures and systems to provide clients with options and advice on moderately complex banking and credit activities.
  • Required advanced understanding of concepts within their own area of specialty and integration points with related areas proactively engage & service clients in a high touch engagement model.
  • Advanced credit acumen to provide clients with the appropriate level of advice to support their unique / specialized financial needs.
  • Conduct analysis of credit and ability to underwrite credit.
  • Advanced knowledge of business drivers, and customers to coordinate with other related areas to improve efficiency and deliver results.
  • General knowledge across Wealth products and solutions with an understanding of all credit, cash management, investments and specifically credit.
  • Knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn banking and risk, operations, and related procedures.
  • Build and maintain ongoing positive relationships with clients.
  • Analyse client information and making the appropriate recommendation based on needs.
  • Develop financial planning knowledge and recommendations with banking solutions implementation in mind.
  • Works collaboratively with various partners in Wealth and across TD
  • Conscientious with a proven passion for creating excellent client experience at every opportunity.

EXPERIENCE AND / OR EDUCATION

  • Post-Secondary or Undergraduate degree (in related field) preferred and / or
  • 3+ years relevant experience
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or Investment Funds in Canada (IFIC)
  • Willingness to complete the Personal Financial Planner (PFP) or Certified F Financial Planner (CFP) designation within 36months from start date.
  • Mandarin Language Skills Preferred
