Engineering Technologist II - Environmental

We are currently hiring for an Engineering Technologist II - Environmental. This regular opportunity, in the Inflow and Infiltration (I/I) team of the Regulatory Compliance Services Department, has full time hours.

As an Engineering Technologist II - Environmental, you will:

  • perform technical duties related to water, wastewater, and stormwater services
  • carry out technical functions related to administering customer education programs
  • undertake environmental investigations, analysis and reporting
  • ensure customer compliance with Halifax Water's Regulations

To do this job, you need to have:

  • a technical diploma in engineering sciences (or a related field with an emphasis on environmental sciences, underground infrastructure management and municipal servicing)
  • five years' experience in municipal/ environmental engineering
  • Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation with TechNova or eligible for membership
  • a valid driver's license
  • the successful incumbent will be required to be appointed as a Special Constable pursuant to the Nova Scotia Police Act.
