Position: Security Guard

Status: Full Time
Hours: Rotating Continental Shifts (0700-1900/1900-0700) Including weekends
Pay Rate: $21.22/hr
Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement - overtime calculated after 88 hours bi-weekly
Successful applicants will be responsible for both proactive and reactive patrols throughout their shifts, while providing access control to the facility. Additionally, you will be required to monitor all security systems inclusive of CCTV.
Staff assigned to this location will be tasked with alarm response and assisting in fire and medical situations.
Security Guards at the site are required to complete a Drug & Alcohol test for incidents that occur on client property.
Required Certifications/Licences

• Valid Ontario Security Licence
• Valid Standard First Aid CPR Level C
• Vulnerable Sector Check
• In Person Management of Aggressive Behaviour
• In Person Use of Force

Required Education
Post-secondary education in Law Enforcement from a recognized institution or equivalent experience or College/University education.
Screening Requirements:

• Criminal Background Check
• Education verification
• Employment verification

Upon hire, the successful applicant will be required to complete the following Paladin online courses;

5. Dealing with People with Mental Illness

7. Slips, Trips and Falls
8. Additional courses as assigned
