MPE is currently seeking multiple and mutiple level Junior Civil -Water Resource Engineer to join our team in our Saskatoon office. Due to the recent acquisition of several large projects, we are expanding our team to meet the increased demand.

Your Contribution
As a Junior Civil-Water Resource Engineer, your main responsibilities will be:
The successful candidate will work with our established water resources team in Saskatchewan under intermediate and senior engineers to complete design and project management duties. The position requires a broad range of skills, self-motivation, and problem solving. The work will involve engineering on all project phases for irrigation infrastructure, dam infrastructure, water control structures, pump stations, canals, pipelines, earthworks, and hydrology projects. In general, the successful candidate may be required to complete the following tasks:
- Perform general project engineering duties under the supervision of a Professional Engineer,
- Work with the project team to prepare reports, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents,
- Complete preliminary engineering studies and assessments that may include:
- Hydrology modelling
- Hydraulic modelling
- Dam safety
- Preliminary design
- Cost estimating
- Complete engineering design that may include:
- Pumping systems
- Pipelines
- Open channel systems
- Hydraulic structures
- Earthworks
- Concrete
- Steel
- Perform construction administration, coordination, and construction supervision duties,
- Work closely with our clients to ensure their project objectives are met.
- Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules
Your Profile
- Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited University
- 0-4 years of experience
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers of Saskatchewan (APEGS)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Aptitude for general construction methods. Previous field-work experience is considered an asset
- Experience or knowledge with design software is considered an asset. Particularly with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, PCSWMM, and WaterCAD. Knowledge in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D will be considered an additional asset
- Class 5 Drivers License and personal vehicle for out-of-town work as required
- Self- motivated with strong problem-solving skills
