WorkSafeNB is seeking a Director, Business Information Services (BIS). Reporting into the Strategy & Finance division and leading a talented team of analytics professionals, you are accountable for implementing the newly defined data governance strategy to enable and support WorkSafeNB's data-as-a-service, advanced analytics, and data literacy programs as they are rolled-out, socialized, and continuously modernized for the benefit of all internal and external users. As a leader in the business intelligence field, you have a vision and passion for putting quality data in the hands of users to elevate decision-making and business outcomes.

Your key areas of responsibility include:

· Create timely access and dissemination of WorkSafeNB data to internal and external stakeholders.

You, as a successful candidate, possess:

· A university degree in the field of computer science, Business Administration, or another field relevant to the job.

· Minimum of 7-10 years in progressive leadership roles as well as management of databases, analyzing data, or designing the databases.

· Extensive and broad knowledge of position monitoring, managing, manipulating and drawing insights from data.

· Demonstrated understanding of best practices in the fields of programming skills and querying language, data visualization and data analytics tool.

· Working knowledge of data mining principles: predictive analytics, mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources.

· Understanding of and experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations for business units.

· Experience working with and creating databases and dashboards using all relevant data to inform decisions.

· Experience using analytics techniques to contribute to company growth efforts, increasing revenue and other key business outcomes.

Written and spoken competence in English is required.

Your primary workspace will be from your in-home office, with the occasional expectation of in person meetings. For these reasons, working from outside the province of New Brunswick, or country, is not permissible.

Hours of work are those required to perform the assigned tasks but shall not be less than 35 hours per week.

Pay Scale $103,879.13 to $122,210.74
