JOB PURPOSE

The Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day coordination of a service, modality or modalities within one or more facilities and may also perform the work of a Technologist.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of an approved Technology Program.
  • Must be registered with the New Brunswick Association of Medical Radiation Technologists.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience and demonstrated leadership ability.
  • May be required to have training required to work in specialized areas.
  • Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
  • Ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Good work record.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor is responsible for:

  • Assisting with organizing, planning, scheduling and supervising the service or modality/modalities
  • Providing staff orientation and participating in staff development programs
  • Identifying and mediating equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Coordinating, mentoring and supporting staff, students and other health care professionals
  • Developing and ensuring compliance with standards, policies and procedures
  • Maintaining clinical and workload records and documentation
  • Liaising with the clinical chief and other internal and external stakeholders
  • Providing expertise as a clinical practice leader
