Manager of Clinical Services - Outpatient Programs, Western Zone
Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville, NL

Western Health currently requires a Manager of Clinical Services - Outpatient Programs on a temporary full-time basis. This position is based at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital (STRH) in Stephenville with management of outpatient programs/services located at STRH, WMRH, and regional Diabetes. The manager is accountable for the management of clinical department areas. Also, assigned units are subject to change based on ongoing initiatives or changing priorities.

This position reports to the Regional Director of Clinical Services and will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to promote excellence in patient care. The successful incumbent will demonstrate the ability to coordinate, integrate, and facilitate the provision of care services, manage resources effectively, direct and lead the care team, as well as plan and direct change effectively. The incumbent will need to balance patient care requirements with the available resources to promote the best possible outcomes. To achieve this goal the manager oversees personnel, services, growth, and fiscal responsibilities.

The successful candidate must demonstrate the key skills, behaviours, abilities and knowledge as outlined in the five domains of the LEADS in a Caring Environment framework.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: A baccalaureate prepared graduate of a health care related discipline with registration through a provincial regulatory body. Five (5) years' experience as a registered heath care provider is required. A minimum of two (2) years management experience and one (1) year leadership experience within the last five (5) years is also required. Candidates must have a minimum of three (3) years' experience in Acute Care setting.

The successful candidate will demonstrate critical thinking, effective problem solving and decision-making as well as strong communication skills. The candidate must work independently in a strong leadership role and be able to lead teams and work effectively within an interdisciplinary team environment to support program planning. The candidate must possess computer skills including Microsoft word, power point, and excel databases and spreadsheets.

Hours of Work: 70 Hours per pay period
0800-1600 and 0830-1630 hours
