MPE, a division of Englobe, is seeking a Automation and Controls professional to join our team in our Nanaimo BC office.

Your Contribution
As a Automation and Controls professional, your main responsibilities will be:
- Programming and testing of PLCs, HMIs and SCADA systems
- On-site commissioning and startup
- Supporting local clients by troubleshooting control systems via remote access or on-site
- Work and coordinate with contractors
- Assist in control system design
- Assess existing control systems
- Develop control system upgrade strategies
- Implement / specify secure network and remote access schemes
- Educating clients
- Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules
Your Profile
- Degree or Diploma in a related field from an accredited post-secondary institution
- Licensed or eligible for licensing or certification with EGBC / ASTTBC
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Background in electrical & instrumentation systems
- Experience with municipal water & wastewater systems
- Experience with a variety of automation software and hardware systems, including;
- Allen Bradley, Schneider, Siemens, Emerson, Horner, Automation Direct PLCs
- VTScada, iFIX, FactoryTalk, AVEVA SCADA software
- Red Lion, Maple, Allen Bradley, Automation Direct HMIs
- Cellular and spread spectrum radio communication infrastructure
- Control system networking, VPN, Routers, Switches, OT infrastructure
- Experience working as a member of a multi-disciplinary engineering team
- Willingness to travel in order to support maintenance and commissioning tasks
Salary range : $60,000.00 to $110,000.00
