We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Shaw Living Homes team. Reporting to the General Manager, the Project Manager is responsible for site safety, product quality and completion of Shaw Living Homes' ground-based construction projects by selecting, organizing, and supervising contractors to ensure projects are completed in accordance with the approved schedule and budget. Your input should add value to the construction process and ensure projects are well administered.
Manager, coordinate and supervise project construction activities emphasizing safety, quality and schedule;
Develop project scope, schedule, cost budget and deliverables;
Coordinate, collect and submit all information required for permitting;
Manage and maintain all construction documentation;
Communicate / report on project timelines and milestones to team members and stakeholders;
Monitor cost budgets and approve/ submit contractor invoices for processing/payment;
Complete all required inspections/procedures to ensure seamless project closeout;
Conduct regular site meetings with all necessary parties;
Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors;
Participate in development of best practices and tools for project execution and management;
Maintain site safety logs, job procedure documentation;
Ensure contractors safety orientations are completed, documented and filed.
Minimum 5 years experience in a Residential Project Manager role;
Ability to interpret and understand construction drawings and related documents;
Experience managing multiple project schedules and budgets;
Working knowledge and experience of all aspects of residential construction including building codes, building materials & methods, project scheduling, safety, safety regulations and quality assurance requirements;
An ability to outline and manage expectations for customers, staff and contractors;
Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate others;
Strong communication, planning and organizational skills;
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently;
Problem solving and conflict resolution skills;
Computer skills (MS Outlook, Excel, Word and Project).
