Sustainability Specialist - 12 month contract

The Sustainability Specialist will be responsible for managing data collection, including review and validation of data, for two extended producer responsibility regulatory requirements, the federal plastics registry and printed, paper and packaging data.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage data collection thorugh vendor surveys
  • Vendor Data template development and testing
  • Manage vendor communication
  • Execute survey
  • Survey follow up to ensure vendor completion.

Review and validation of vendor data

  • Develop data validation approach for surveys
  • Follow up on data anomalies with vendors
  • Weigh products and packaging as required
  • Correct data in partnership with vendors


Data Management and reporting

  • Manage data organization of all vendor surveys in collaboration with external EPR support
  • Outline reporting data requirements for external EPR support
  • Report to external parties with all required data points and on deadline

Relationship Management

  • Vendor relationship management, including answering questions and continual vendor follow up to ensure completion of survey by all vendors
  • Merchant and Merchant assistant engagement as required

Hybrid Work:

  • Remote
  • Travel to Toronto Store Support Location or Stores as required
