WorkSafeNB is seeking an Alternative Investments Manager. Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer - Alternatives, the Alternative Investments Manager will work within the alternative investments department to provide research, analysis, and planning to aid decision making to help align the alternative investments with WorkSafeNB's liabilities.

Your key areas of responsibility include:

· Provide support in the management of the alternative investments within the Accident Fund. Aid in the researching, planning, organizing, and overseeing the management of alternative investments.

· Research, analyze, and recommend to the Chief Investment Officer - Alternatives new alternative asset classes for inclusion in the portfolio.

· Provide support in reporting to the Finance and Investment Committee on a quarterly basis. Aid in the preparations and reporting of alternative investment performance relative to benchmarks, quarterly activities, work plan and market data and forecasts. Present ad hoc reports to the Finance and Investment Committee.

· Support the Finance & Investment Committee and Board of Directors in performing Asset Liability studies. Compile external asset class returns, risks and correlations. Research and recommend to the Chief Investment Officer - Alternatives asset mixes for recommendation to the Finance & Investment Committee and Board of Directors.

· Recommend changes to investment policies and directives to the Chief Investment Officer - Alternatives. Research, compile, analyze, and aid in the development of best-in-class institutional investment processes, information flows, and decision-making hierarchy.

You, as a successful candidate, possess:

· A University Degree in a related field

· Five (5) years of investment related experience

· Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) charter holder or work towards completion.

· Institutional investment experience would be an asset.

Written and spoken competency in English is required.

Pay Scale $103,879.13 to $122,210.74

Hours of work are those required to perform the assigned tasks but shall not be less than 35 hours per week.

Your primary workspace will be from your in-home office, with the occasional expectation of in person meetings, for that reason, working from outside the province, or country, is not permissible. Some travel, including international travel, will be required.
