Cabinet Builder/Millworker Position

Job Description

Applicants will be responsible for the construction of a variety of commercial casework and fixtures. Candidates must have the ability to read and understand plans and shop drawings and be able to build custom pieces in an efficient manner. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are also required. Commercial cabinetmaking and installation experience and/or completion of a recognized cabinetmaking/carpentry program would be considered assets. Familiarity with large woodworking machinery is also preferred.

Requirements

• 3 years minimum experience in the millwork industry
• Strong eye for quality
• Ability to work as part of a team and individually as well
• Ability to read drawings
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Able to take directions and complete task competently
• Physically demanding, weight handling up to 20kg, with help mechanically or with other team members help if over this.
• Steel toe safety boots
• Experience in building cabinets and commercial millwork features
• Experience using hand tools and large saws/millwork machinery
