WorkSafeNB wishes to establish an inventory of qualified candidates to fill casual full-time Administrative Support Clerk positions. Casual full-time employment means you are paid for 35 hours per week and will work for a specific term depending on the needs of the business (e.g., 1 year, etc.). WorkSafeNB's hours of operation are Monday to Friday anywhere from 8:00-5:00 PM.
Reporting to the appropriate Team Leader, you will be responsible to perform various duties that are related to providing wage replacement benefits for our clients. Some of these responsibilities include:
· Communicating both verbally and in writing with clients and stakeholders.
· Reviewing, paying, and authorizing payment of claim related accounts and wage loss benefits to clients.
These are challenging, multi-faceted positions, that would be ideal for detail-oriented individuals who are self-starters and enjoy completing mathematical calculations. These opportunities are very suitable for individuals who can adapt to a rapidly changing business environment, and handle large volumes of work, while maintaining a high degree of accuracy. If you possess the following qualifications, we encourage you to apply:
• One-year post-secondary diploma/certificate, as a minimal educational requirement.
• One year of relevant work experience such as experience with benefits & wage calculations, paying accounts (accounts receivable/accounts payable) or mathematical calculations.
• Strong ability to function within MS Office software, particularly MS Word and Excel.
• An equivalent combination of greater education, combined with less work experience may be considered (e.g., a completed university degree with no work experience).
Written and spoken competence in English and French, as well as written and spoken competence in English, are required. Please indicate, in your application, your linguistic profile.
The hourly rate is $24.57.
We intend to create a pool of qualified candidates to staff casual and/or term positions. While we initially hire on a casual and/or term basis, we are committed to investing in our employees and these opportunities could possibly lead to permanent employment.
Your primary workspace will be from your in-home office, with the occasional expectation of in person meetings, for that reason, working from outside the province of New Brunswick, or country, is not permissible.
