Ashford Properties Inc., is seeking a facility maintenance technician to assist with servicing a portfolio of commercial properties in the Greater Moncton area. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of facility skills and be versed in diagnosing and repairing common building related issues. Must have a clean driving record along with experience in the construction or facility services industry. Experience with Facilities Management software such as Angus Anywhere is an asset.

You must reside within the service area and be available to respond to emergency calls. Some weekend and night work may be required at times. Position is full time and additional hours may be required for additional work requested or for emergency response.

Ashford will supply a company vehicle that is to be used during work hours only.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

· Experience in Construction, Facility Services or Commercial Maintenance required.

· Ability to repair and troubleshoot lighting and plumbing problems as well as building repairs such as drywall patching and painting.

· Complete all maintenance requests issued in a timely manner and be able to become proficient with Angus Anywhere.

Work within budget limits established

Maintain building inventory for cost effective operations

Schedule and complete the Preventive Maintenance Program

Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors

Responsible for 24-Hour emergency maintenance call outs; carry mobile phone/radio as required for on-call Maintenance

Monitor and maintain all building systems

Complete grounds work, which may include picking up trash, sweeping curbs, and maintain areas around the dumpster

Ensure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, Provincial and Federal guidelines

Liaise with Tenants and advise Supervisor of any issues.

Must be pleasant and be able to communicate in a friendly manner even under stressful circumstances.

All other duties as assigned

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Clean abstract from Department of Motor Vehicles and agree to a Criminal Background Check

· Ability to use email and operate a digital camera, Smart phone and tablet.

· High School completion certificate

· Strong customer service skills and the ability to work in adverse situations.

· Ability to submit paperwork with detailed notes within 24- hours of a site visit.
