Service New Brunswick is seeking an individual to join the Business Development Unit within Enterprise Services as a Project Manager on an 18-month, full-time opportunity. The Business Development Unit provides support to enhance operational readiness and service delivery in Oracle Fusion. The team works closely with other areas of Service New Brunswick and GNB Departments involved with a transformational change initiative.

What will you be doing?

As a member of the Business Development Unit, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and finalization of projects of varying degrees of complexity. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Defining project scope, goals, requirements, and deliverables.
  • Planning, scheduling, and tracking project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of project team members.
  • Delivering project objectives and overseeing quality control.
  • Facilitating working sessions; utilizing a variety of facilitation techniques and tools.
  • Developing full-scale project plans using a predictive approach and effectively communicating project expectations.
  • Liaising with project stakeholders.
  • Developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations.
  • Delivering status reports, analyzing results, and troubleshooting problem areas.
  • Managing changes in project scope, budget, schedule, identifying potential risks, and devising contingency plans.
  • Building, developing and growing business relationships vital to the success of projects.

What is required to be successful?

The successful candidate must possess:

  • University degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of six (6) years of experience in project management or related work experience.
  • Certification from a recognized Project Management Association, such as PMI's Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) or PRINCE2's Practitioner.
  • Experience with presenting to and facilitating various group sizes and senior level management would also be a requirement.
  • Experience managing IT or finance projects across multiple organizations or functional areas and high-pressure environment.

Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability.

What qualifications can set you apart from other candidates?

Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate the following asset qualifications:

  • Experience in a government setting.
  • Certification or experience in Change Management.
  • Certification or experience in Lean Six Sigma (Yellow Belt, Green Belt or Black Belt)

Salary: $73,996- $98,436 annually – Pay Band 6 - Management and Non-Union Pay Plan.
