Position Overview:
Are you looking to be part of a growing and developing team in an organization that values its people, customers, work, and supply chain? If so, APEX is currently accepting applications for an Operations Support Analyst within its Steel Door Manufacturing Group.
This is a full-time, permanent position reporting to the Group Manager. The primary role of this position is to work alongside the shift supervisors and support the operations team with scheduling, shop organization, quality, health & safety, inventory management, materials handling, maintenance and human resources management.
Some overtime may be required, and training will be provided
Responsibilities:
- Monitors and supports daily operations to ensure that policies and procedures are being followed, that goals and objectives are met, and that services are being provided efficiently and effectively; takes corrective action as necessary; personally, handles the most difficult, sensitive or controversial projects for the business group.
- Develops, implements, and administers systems and procedures for the control of inventory, control of overheads, paperwork, and workflow.
- Provides for the selection, training, professional development and work evaluation of direct reports.
- Makes recommendations on hiring, termination, promotion, discipline as required and motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
- Along with the Shift Supervisors will plan and schedule work to meet customer delivery dates, vacation schedules for the group ensuring proper distribution of assignments and adequate staffing, space and facilities for the subsequent performance of duties.
- Supports all functions within the operations team including administration, maintenance, and logistics.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge and experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Must have a college diploma/University degree in preferably mechanical or industrial and/or technical school training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrates strong leadership.
- Ability to execute projects with minimal supervision.
- Able to work in fast paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good problem solver and decision maker.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
