Position Overview:
Are you looking to be part of a growing and developing team in an organization that values its people, customers, work, and supply chain? If so, APEX is currently accepting applications for a CNC Boring Mill within its Custom Contract Manufacturing Group.
This is a full-time, permanent position reporting to the Shift Supervisor. The primary role of this position is to set up, operate, and maintain a Toshiba CNC boring mill.
Some overtime may be required, and training will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Setting up and operating CNC Boring Mill
- Operate hand tools and precision measuring devices
- Read and interpret production documentation including blueprints
- Maintain production schedules
- Recognize and communicate areas to improve to the Machine Shop Foreman
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Comply with all company policies
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- A college diploma in CNC or Manual Machining or equivalent work experience will be considered
- Must have a strong knowledge of GD and T
- Able to read imperial & metric measurements
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- A strong mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of the manufacturing industry would be considered an asset
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Teamwork values and a positive attitude
- Strong communication skills to provide feedback to the planning and programing department
