As part of an orderly succession, the Board of Directors of Atlantic Lottery is recruiting its next President & Chief Executive Officer. This exciting leadership opportunity builds on almost five decades of regional cooperation and success. The President & Chief Executive Officer has an unprecedented opportunity to lead a crown corporation during an ambitious period of growth and increasingly global competition, while supporting Atlantic Canadian communities.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President and CEO is chief ambassador, change agent, and strategist for the organization, providing broad and balanced leadership. While commercially focused, the President & CEO is also socially responsible, and has a track record of increasing market share, revenue, and reputation in a regulated and highly competitive and changing environment. An exceptional relationship builder and marketer, they understand and are energized by the next generation of lottery and gambling consumers. They are adept at developing strong relationships with stakeholders, and cultivate trust, transparency and support. A deep understanding of government shareholder interests is essential.

The organization is responding to an increasingly globally competitive environment with increasing challenges from illegal gaming operators. The CEO takes a leadership role in leading change and adopting competitive strategies to protect the organization's market share and integrity, advocates for healthy play, while also maintaining and protecting AL's reputation.

The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of senior management experience and a track record of embracing and leading change in a medium to large organization, preferably in a digital, retail, or consumer goods environment. They have an undergraduate degree in a related field (i.e. commerce, marketing, finance) preferably complemented with a graduate degree in a related discipline, or equivalent experience. Experience working with a board of directors in a commercial enterprise or crown corporation is an asset. A forward-thinking, inclusive, and collegial leader, they possess strong strategic and financial acumen and have a proven track record of cultivating strong teams and a high-performance culture. They embrace digital platforms and innovations to keep the organization competitive and relevant. They are a champion and enable of the corporation's strategy and culture, demonstrated through a relentless commitment to excellence, accountability, and innovation.
