JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the CEO, the Vice-President of Risk Management and Financial Services is responsible for all aspects of the administration of risk management strategies and financial management decision making, with the aim of aligning practices with the organization's strategic objectives and optimizing the performance of Vitalité Health Network's various points of service.

As a strategic leader, the VP supports the CEO in assessing and managing risk, financial performance, economic trends and regulatory compliance. The VP builds strong professional relationships with all partners to ensure an integrated approach to risk management. The VP also oversees the development of an overall strategy, in line with the organization's values and purpose.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education and experience

  • Master's degree in finance, accounting, risk management or a related field;
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA);
  • Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience in financial accounting;
  • Excellent knowledge of risk management principles, accounting standards and financial regulations;
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in a large-scale team leadership position;
  • Knowledge of the health care sector in the province and elsewhere in Canada;
  • Any combination of training and experience deemed equivalent may be taken into consideration.

Additional requirements

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English ;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned work;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
