About Us

Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services (NL Health Services) brings together five former separate health entities - Eastern Health, Central Health, Western Health, Labrador-Grenfell Health, and the Newfoundland and Labrador Centre for Health Information. The creation of a provincial health authority was announced following recommendations from Health Accord NL.

NL Health Services is responsible for delivering health and community services to more than 528,000 people living in Newfoundland and Labrador and employs over 22,000 people.

About the Role

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play an important role in supporting the eHealth Solution

Delivery Division to meet key responsibilities, some of which include:

  • Strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
  • Working with organizational directors, managers, and associated staff in the facilitation of priority project delivery efforts
  • Supporting the Project Management Office (PMO) in developing policies, procedures, and various toolkits and working closely with departmental management to support reporting requirements.
  • Generating standardized and relevant documentation for both the PMO and project delivery teams

About You

Your education and experience include:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, or another related field
  • Minimum of five years' business analysis experience in a project management environment

You have the following skills and abilities:

  • Superior communication, interpersonal and networking skills
  • Self-motivation with excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills combined with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to plan and facilitate workshops, build consensus, and facilitate solutions amongst team members.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

As part of the Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services, the Digital Health division provides quality information to health professionals, the public, researchers, and health system decision makers. Through collaboration with the health system, we support the development of data and technical standards, maintain key health databases, carry out analytics and evaluation, and support health research. We support healthcare within Newfoundland and Labrador, including patients and communities through the delivery of information technology (IT) and digital health services applied in the healthcare system to provide quality care. Our mandate includes the development and implementation of a confidential and secure provincial electronic health record as well as other provincial clinical information programs, including the change management required to support adoption by end user clinicians.
