What you will be doing…
Reporting to the Manager, Administrative Services, you will provide a full range of administrative support services for the Business Office. You will:
- Complete accounts receivable duties for the campus include invoicing students and corporate accounts, student loan and sponsorship coordination and processing, receivable follow up and collection.
- Provide front-line service for walk-in, telephone, and email inquiries
Qualifications and Occupational Experience:
- The minimum educational qualification for this position is a post-secondary certificate or diploma in Business or Office Administration. Or you have the recognized equivalency of a high school diploma with significant (10+) years of administrative experience.
- You have a minimum of two years (full-time equivalent) recent and related experience in a fast-paced, front-line service-orientated office environment
- You have experience reading contracts calculating invoice amounts, reading student and client statements.
- You have Occupational experience in the following areas would be considered an asset:
- Reading account statements to determine what students or clients have been charged, paid, ensuring payments have been correctly applied to proper charges, reading contracts and invoicing correctly based on contracts and actively followed up for payment
- Front-line customer service role in a post-secondary institution.
- Operating Point of Sale systems.
- Handling cash, debit, and credit card transactions.
- You have experience negotiating payment terms and actively following up for payment.
- You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365 and email.
- You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology in advancing your work.
- You have demonstrated the ability to work accurately with accounting documents and monetary transactions.
- Experience supporting/providing service to students and prospective students would be considered an asset (especially post-secondary)
- Experience with PeopleSoft would be considered an asset.
