As the Manager, Vendor Management for FIU Canada Operational Excellence, you'll play a pivotal role and have a comprehensive mandate covering vendor management oversight.

Role is pivotal in managing both ongoing large-scale vendor engagements and facilitating new ones. You'll navigate the intricate landscape of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment with organizational goals. Acting as the primary liaison to the Strategic Sourcing Group, you'll orchestrate the procurement process with finesse, leveraging your expertise to negotiate contracts, optimize vendor relationships, and mitigate risks effectively. Your strategic vision and proactive approach will drive operational excellence, fostering trust and confidence in vendor partnerships while fortifying the organization's resilience against financial crimes.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ongoing Budget Management for Vendors: Monitor budget performance, identify variances, and provide regular updates to the Senior Manager. Implement corrective actions as needed to ensure financial goals are met.
  • Vendor Management: Manages Third Party Business Arrangements through all stages of the Third-Party Management Lifecycle (TPML), in alignment with relevant frameworks, policies and standards.
  • Relationship Management: Role may act as the Lead Vendor Manager supporting the Accountable Executive that owns TD's relationship with the Third Party.

Education & Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • 5+ years relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of Vendor Management, Business Arrangements, Third-Party Management Lifecycle (TPML) framework/principles, policies and procedures, systems, products/services, product research, assessment & reporting, competitive intelligence, negotiation tactics, regulatory and/or governance requirements.
  • Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trends.
  • Knowledge of Risk Management environment, standards and regulations.
  • Knowledge of budgetary management principles/practices/procedures and resource allocation.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement long-term strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving to drive informed decision-making.
  • Change Management: Experience in leading organizational change initiatives and managing stakeholders through transitions.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, strategically aligning efforts and activities to meet Bank goals & objectives.
  • Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
