JOB TYPE: Permanent full-time

SCHEDULE: Day, Rotation, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: French essential and spoken English

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the responsibility of the CHUGLD's Director of Hospital Operations, the incumbent will contribute to the success of the sector primarily as: a) coordinator for the patient flow both operational and administrative in the emergency department and b) leader in the search for innovative solutions and alternatives and in change management in the emergency department and in the institution.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Post-secondary degree in health sciences and/or applied sciences or in management;
  • Advanced university degree in a related field is an asset but not required;
  • PMI certification is an asset but not required;
  • Lean or Lean Six Sigma Certificate or willingness to acquire within a set timeframe;
  • Experience in the health field is an asset;
  • Excellent skills with the Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, MS-Project) and with Visio software;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and coaching skills;
  • Sound judgment, supported by a sense of listening, analysis, synthesis, strategic thinking and problem solving;
  • Transformational leadership;
  • Ability to mobilize, engage and act as an agent of change;
  • Agile and creative reasoning in the performance of duties;
  • Ability to move both within the territory of the Vitalité Health Network and the province;
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
  • Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
