Branch Supervisor - HRM

Kerr Controls Ltd. (Kerr) is a leading distributor of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration Equipment, and Supplies. We have an immediate opening for a dynamic, dedicated, and highly motivated Branch Supervisor.

Kerr's growth has been driven by our focus on customer service and operational excellence throughout the company. The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation and active management of processes and procedures in two HRM Branches (Halifax and Dartmouth) to provide exceptional customer support. The Manager will work closely with the inside and outside sales teams to grow HVAC/R sales in the HRM territory. This will be achieved by providing leadership, technical guidance and organizational strength to the branch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor branch operations to maintain high customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Develop and achieve sales budgets with the HRM sales team.
  • Lead inside and outside sales efforts and participate in sales calls as needed.
  • Manage inside sales, technical sales, and warehouse staff, providing regular feedback and support.
  • Ensure product pricing and inventory flow align with profit goals.
  • Maintain branch cleanliness, staff presentation, and manage shipping/warehouse operations to ensure accurate, timely shipments.
  • Collaborate with the credit and head office teams on account management, inventory control, and warranty claims.
  • Provide market feedback and identify training needs for staff and customers.

Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Proven ability to meet sales targets and manage budgets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze and optimize branch performance.
  • Experience in inventory control and warehouse management.
  • Familiarity with credit management and working with head office teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and compliance in a warehouse setting.
  • Proficient in using business management software and systems.
