Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities, and we are always looking for passionate new talent to join our team! We are currently looking for an Analyst Global Procurement to join our team.

Here's where you'll be focusing:

  • Perform import purchase order management, coordinate inventory management of Own Brands, general merchandise, and overall reporting activities while balancing service level expectations of the regions against inventory investment targets.
  • Consolidate regional general merchandise requirements.
  • Establish new item inventory requirements based on regional forecasts.
  • Monitor variances between demand and forecasts, then take corrective action.
  • Work with Brand team to plan and schedule shipments.
  • Create import purchase orders based on Regional requirements consistent with inventory/service level policy.
  • Update purchase order details such as quantity, date changes, and costing.
  • Monitor purchase order statuses at each stage of the supply chain while taking corrective action.
  • Provide notification to Brand team as exceptions occur for delays in production, shipment, or customs clearance.
  • Liaise with third-party logistics providers such as the Consolidation Center, buying agents, international freight forwarders, and customs broker to ensure customs release are done in a timely manner.
  • Audit pricing and quantities.
  • Balance inventory investment against service level goals
  • Oversee and replenish all Sobeys Global Sourcing purchasing and scheduling activity.
  • Ensure that overall inventory management is consistent with Sobeys inventory and service level policies.
  • Liaise with the third party warehouse and manage any issues related to inventory.
  • Act as a primary SAP user for replenishment/buying.
  • Review and release regional sales orders.
  • Validate regional costs.
  • Reconcile shipping discrepancies with regards to pricing variances.
  • Manage seasonal bookings and contract agreements.
  • Track and monitor inventory levels and service level goals against target.
  • Manage KPIs.
  • Develop required reporting in Excel, BW or Access.
  • Reconcile invoicing to the regions as required.
  • Assist finance with P&L issues, investigate debit and credits.

What you have to offer:

  • An Undergraduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or a DEC and a minimum of 4years relevant experience
  • Experience with ERP systems and basic report development
  • 2 years replenishment within a retail grocery environment
  • CITT, CPIM or PMAC designation or currently pursuing is preferred
  • Working knowledge of SAP, AWR and BW is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
