Acadia seeks an IT Project Manager in our Technology Services Department to fill a 24-month limited term contract. We are looking for an innovative, strategic, and collaborative person with the ability to effectively create decision and action-focused plans from start to completion. The person in this role will work with other departments across the organization as well as third-party vendors to ensure alignment and integration of projects and goals.
As the IT Project Manager, you will have the exciting opportunity to lead and focus on several key projects underway in our Technology Services department, with a focus on assisting Acadia as we transition to a new payroll system, Dayforce. Working within the Technology Services Department, specific responsibilities of the position include:
- Prioritizing and assigning work to achieve project timelines and objectives.
- Assessing and prioritizing risk and developing risk mitigation plans.
- Propose spending within designated project budget.
- Create clear communication for the parties involved on the project purpose, objectives, scope, and resource commitments.
- Produce detailed and accurate documentation to plan and track the project.
- Effectively lead team meetings with consideration of schedules, agendas, and project materials.
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years' experience as a project leader.
- Project management training and certification is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience with organizational change efforts.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- The successful applicant will have demonstrated problem solving, consultation, analysis, and collaboration skills with the ability to handle parallel assignments and priorities.
- Experience with and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
