This position is within the Low-Rise Construction Team and plays an integral part in purchasing team's day-to-day operations. This role will support the purchasing team to award business, update projects files, amend contracts and scope of work, address invoice accuracy, and resolve matters related to suppliers.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the purchasing team to award business, and update project files with award information.
  • Assisting in ordering materials to meet construction timelines.
  • Reviews and approves vendor set up requests and vendor information changes.
  • Work with the purchasing team to amend contracts and scope of work.
  • Maintain purchasing files, reports and records.
  • Assisting in submitting requests for quote to trades and vendors for residential construction and review submissions.
  • Assist construction team with reviewing construction plans and confirm that plans and project sheets are aligned.
  • Addressing invoice accuracy with the purchasing team.
  • Resolve delivery and other matters related to suppliers.
  • Actively participate in building safety culture.
  • Supporting low-rise construction team with daily purchasing activities and contribute to special projects as assigned.
  • Such other roles and duties as the Employer may from to time require.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) with proven ability to learn customized software/tools.
  • Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role is preferred.
  • Worked with spreadsheets, Microsoft word, Outlook and other documents, as well as data entry.
  • Experience with CRM software is an asset.
  • Proven team player with strong written and oral communications skills.
  • Agility and flexibility in response to changing priorities and needs with proactive follow-through.
  • Committed to contributing to a strong team culture to ensure success.
  • Sound judgement regarding confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Ability to multi-task and learn quickly, while being adaptable to change.
