This is a supportive role to work in the Security Operations Centre (SOC) and/or in our Retail locations providing loss prevention services, both with a customer service focus. The Security Operations Centre provides monitoring of security equipment to identify and manage security risks associated with NSLC operations. As a primary point of contact, this role will manage security information, provides advice, and dispatches appropriate responses to identified risks. The Loss Prevention team provides frontline security and loss prevention resources and works collaboratively to provide a safe retail environment for the retail team and guests alike.

Qualifications

As a qualified candidate, you will have:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • 1-3 years' related experience
  • Experience in a customer service role
  • The ability to complete a Criminal Record check upon hire, or provide one issued within the past 6 months
  • Be willing to work shift work (based on operational needs, shifts may include days, evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight). The successful candidate will typically be scheduled 21-35 each week.

As the ideal candidate, you will also have:

  • Post-secondary education in in a related discipline/area
  • Valid NS Driver's License with ability to produce a clear Driver's Abstract and access to reliable transportation.
  • Experience in the field of Loss Prevention, enforcement and/or corporate security in a retail setting

An alternate combination of education and experience may be considered equivalent.
