Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Steel Fabricator. The Steel Fabricator will be responsible for metalworking, using hand tools and power tools, welding, grinding projects in commercial, industrial, and public sectors within the Greater Moncton Metropolitan Area. In this role, you will cut metal parts and fit or assemble them into structures, such as stairs, ladders, and columns. It is essential to fabricate these parts according to technical blueprints, so you must use measuring tools to check your work. BSM handles a variety of projects which increases learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Metalworking skills, including proficiency with hand and power tools
• Certification in welding
• Experience in metal working, bending, grinding, rolling, fitting and welding steel
• Experience with MIG Welding
• Ability to handle physical work and operate equipment safely
• Proficient in reading technical drawings and specifications
• Use measuring and inspection tools
• Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
• Prior experience in steel fabrication and structural construction is a plus
• Completion of a technical trade program or training program is a plus
