On behalf of our client, Jump Recruitment is now seeking a Senior Project Manager. This position will be based in St. John's and will manage projects throughout Newfoundland Labrador. Our client is well recognized in the field of commercial construction in several locations across the province. They have experienced significant growth in operations over the past number years and remains dedicated to quality, safety, and continued growth. Our client takes pride in providing their clients with high-quality project's from start to finish, on time and on budget. The company has completed new buildings, expansions, and renovations across the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Reporting to the President and Vice President, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the overall supervision of projects from start to finish, to ensure they are completed on time and on budget. Work as a team with our project managers and coordinators on daily operations, business objectives and facilitate growth for our employees and the company.
Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site and office leadership for the project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals.
  • Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources
  • Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks, and issues
  • Understand interdependencies between operations, and business needs
  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment
  • Report on project success criteria results, metrics, testing, and deployment management activities
  • Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships that facilitate project success
  • Manage ongoing quality control and participate in quality issue resolution
  • Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project and program team, as well as, monitoring staff performance and reviews
  • Effectively communicate with superiors, team members, clients, and other stakeholders


Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of project management experience, including tracking and planning projects
  • Level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, Procore, and other software as required
  • Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions, and identifying priorities
  • Experience negotiating vendor contracts
  • Ability to successfully lead projects and programs on-time, on-schedule. and within budget parameters
  • Experience leading, motivating, and managing various project and program team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performance
  • Familiarity with OH&S regulations and adaptation to the company safety policies and regulations
  • Have a strong understanding of construction and technical engineering documentation, as well as an understanding of the tendering, bidding and quoting processes in the industry
