Our Halifax office is currently seeking an Associate Lawyer to join our Business Law and Real Property practice groups.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drafting, negotiating and closing commercial agreements of purchase and sale
  • Overseeing and reporting on real property due diligence matters
  • Handling of commercial financing transactions for lenders and borrowers
  • Reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial leases, offers and amending agreements
  • Handling land assembly, option, easement, leasing, permitting and project finance matters for large scale real estate developments, renewable energy projects and other natural resource matters

THE IDEAL CANIDATE

  • Three + years of relevant work experience;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Strong research and writing skills and demonstrated ability to navigate complex real estate issues;
  • Self-motivated and can work independently but also values working collaboratively;
  • Proven effective client and practice management skills, and
  • Demonstrating an entrepreneurial mindset is an asset.
