The Opportunity
Reporting to the Director of Member and Business Services, the KidSport Coordinator serves as a crucial link in removing financial barriers that prevent children from playing organized sport, by supporting registration fees of qualified applicants. Serving the children of New Brunswick, the Coordinator oversees every facet of the KidSport initiative. This includes reaching out to potential participants, securing funds, handling administrative tasks, and organizing sports events for eligible children.
Who You Are
The ideal candidate for this role will be self-motivated and have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should be bilingual (French and English) with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in order to interact effectively with the public, members, and colleagues. Technological proficiency is a must (Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, social media) as is familiarity with data management. Previous volunteer or work experience or an internship in the sport and/or nonprofit settings will all be assets. A demonstrated passion for the development and promotion of KidSport in New Brunswick and an interest in fundraising and event planning will support the candidate in contributing positively to KidSport's mission and vision.
Qualifications
Post-secondary degree in sport and/or recreation
Experience working with children and families from diverse backgrounds, preferably in a community or youth development setting
Bilingualism (English and French)
Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
Experience and comfort using social media channels.
Ability to use office technology, software and applications such as MS Office, Canva etc.
Assets:
Previous experience working in a non-profit setting
Volunteer and/or work experience in the sport community
Details: Two-year contract with possibility of renewal pending funding. Includes benefits.
Salary Range: $44,000 - $55,000
