Meridia is happy to partner with Empire Media+ in the recruitment of a talented individual to join their growing organization as an Ad Products Manager.

Role Description

As the Ad Products Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic roadmap for advertising products and features, aligning them with customer insights and business priorities. You will design engaging ad placements and measurement tools, coordinating with channel owners to ensure seamless implementation, and integrating best practices in retail media. Additionally, you'll evaluate and manage relationships with ad tech vendors, ensuring their optimal performance through timely contracting, procurement, and continuous monitoring of key performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft a comprehensive plan for introducing new advertising products and features across our channels, guided by customer preferences and business objectives.
  • Build compelling ad placements and formats that attract attention and achieve results, while also measuring effectiveness for advertisers.
  • Coordinate with channel owners to ensure the seamless rollout of ad serving capabilities and the expansion of ad placements across websites, apps, and email platforms.
  • Incorporate leading practices in retail media advertising, including high-impact formats, optimized ad placements, and innovative buying and selling strategies.
  • Conduct assessments of potential ad serving vendors, using structured evaluation criteria and proof-of-concept testing to identify the best partners.
  • Lead the selection process for new ad tech vendors, ensuring timely and efficient contracting and procurement to meet business needs.
  • Oversee and manage relationships with ad tech vendors, including contract negotiations, performance monitoring, and feedback to ensure compliance with service agreements.

Your Qualifications

As the ideal candidate, you have expertise in advertising product management and digital advertising which spans various formats, including video, search, and banner ads, as well as different placement strategies and buying methods. You have a proven track record in ad tech procurement, vendor management, and contract administration, demonstrating your ability to manage supplier relationships effectively. With strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, you approach challenges with a customer-centric mindset. Additionally, you possess a solid understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, product management workflows and tools, and the ad tech vendor landscape.

Your qualifications include:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in an advertising product management within a media, tech, commerce, or similar industry.
  • You have hands-on experience in various digital ad formats and are familiar with advertising channels and ad tech vendor landscape crucial for driving campaigns; expertise includes video, search, and banner ads; ad placements; buying and selling methods (auction-based and direct); and measurement techniques.
  • Proven background in ad tech procurement, vendor management, contract administration, and managing supplier relationships.
  • A customer-centric approach to product management.
  • Familiarity with product management workflows and tools.
  • You have a knack for leveraging analytics to craft compelling sales strategies that resonate with clients and drive results.
  • You possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
