PAL Aerospace is currently seeking qualified applications for a Project Manager. The ideal candidate will plan, coordinate, and implement projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop plans, work back schedules and leverage budgeting tools to ensure projects stay within their budget and fulfill the scope of the project
  • Actively manage engineering progress through analysis of earned value, cost-performance, and schedule performance metrics
  • Manage schedules, work back schedules, budgets, and work completed by all project stakeholders
  • Work with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure stellar delivery and strategic growth of the project
  • Gather and interpret project requirements to deploy resources in the most efficient and cost-effective manner
  • Ensure that the engineering forecast is regularly updated
  • Provide input into the project's monthly report concerning design progress, cost, and issues of concern and recommend changes if necessary to achieve overall objectives.
  • Foster internal and external communication that improves transparency and information — covering project expectations, budgets, stakeholder needs, timelines, and more
  • Address client and internal product owners' queries effectively and promptly
  • Contact management at critical points throughout the project to ensure that engineering deliverables meet client requirements.
  • Raise safety awareness and ensure the design for safety principles are applied to the project
  • Ensure engineering risk assessments and design for safety protocols are carried out, and all identified issues are addressed
  • Project Close-out
  • Prepare and analyze engineering performance metrics on a multi-discipline basis. Feedback into the organization.
  • Develop lessons learned lists, documentation, and feedback for the organization.
  • Inspire and collaborate with client and internal teams
  • Identify risks and develop appropriate mitigation plans throughout the project
  • Communicate regularly with remote colleagues

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5 - 7 years of project management experience
  • Strong business acumen in project planning and management
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
  • PMP Certification is preferred
  • General knowledge of the industry, regulatory standards, and design criteria in engineering disciplines, particularly those related to the aerospace and defence sector.
  • Knowledge of engineering progress assessment earned value and engineering control strategies.
  • Ability to adapt to constant change and accommodate high-pressure situations to support the team in meeting project objectives.
  • Familiarity with using Project Management Software such as Celoxis and MS Project
