On behalf of our client, a local wholesaler, Jump Recruitment Specialists is in search of a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate. To succeed in this position, strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks are essential. This full-time position is located in Mount Pearl, NL.

The Role:

As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for receiving and inspecting freight, ensuring inventory accuracy, and maintaining proper stock rotation. You will handle the shipping process, including order verification, packing, and preparing shipments. Additionally, you will assist in maintaining warehouse cleanliness and occasionally perform delivery duties within the metro and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse & Maintenance

  • Receive and inspect freight for damages.
  • Use inventory management system and handheld scanner to log products.
  • Arrange products on shelves, rotating stock by expiry date.
  • Ensure shipment accuracy and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Fill customer orders accurately, packing goods in appropriate containers, and attaching shipping labels/instructions.
  • Verify orders against invoices.
  • Prepare shipments at reasonable rates; consult manager for additional costs.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness.
  • Tidy shelves and remove outdated products for returns.
  • Clean and prepare shipping containers.
  • Inspect shipping materials, count inventory, and place into boxes/containers.
  • Assist in loading vehicles and filling out paperwork.

Delivery Driving (Occasional)

  • Deliver packages to hospitals and pharmacies in designated areas (Metro, CBS, Avondale, Pouch Cove, Southern Shore).
  • Pick up packages and manage delivery documentation (COS slips, Proof of Delivery forms).
  • Ensure safety of transported products and handle customer returns properly.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certificate of conduct is a requirement.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role preferred.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems.
  • Basic understanding of shipping and receiving processes.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and collaboration abilities.
