Partnered with Meridia, Rubber Duck is looking to add a Lead Technician to their team based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Role Description:
Reporting to the District Manager, the Lead Technician will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of all Rubber Duck car wash locations. This role will require collaboration with team members and external contractors. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of car wash equipment, conducting preventative maintenance, and providing training to the team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Perform on-site repairs at various locations; occasional trips to Prince Edward Island will be necessary to service those sites.
- Prioritize repairs on car wash equipment to reduce downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular checks on equipment according to established schedules, including weekly, monthly, and annual inspections.
- Assist in the installation of new car wash equipment at various locations.
- Work closely with outside contractors when required for repairs or installations.
- Assist in training other team members on proper repair and maintenance procedures.
- Effectively communicate with customers, team members, and contractors in a professional manner.
- Support other team members and contribute to the overall success of Rubber Duck Car Wash.
Your Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this role will have values and vision that align with Rubber Duck's. This includes strong communication skills, a collaborative team-focused attitude, exceptional problem-solving skills and a knack for spotting solutions others might miss., a dedicated focus on customer satisfaction, and effective workload management.
Your qualifications include:
- Previous experience in maintenance and repair, preferably with plumbing, electrical, and/or mechanical systems.
- Experience as an Electrician, Plumber, or Millwright is beneficial. While possessing a diploma or red seal certification is not mandatory, it would be considered an asset.
- Customer service orientation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to travel between locations and adapt to changing priorities.
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Leadership qualities and ability to motivate and train team members.
