Clinical Psychologist II - Developmental Psychology
Corner Brook, NL
Definition of Work: To provide clinical assessment, diagnosis, and intervention services to preschool children presenting with developmental delay and those at risk for delay. Services are delivered through an interdisciplinary approach in a clinic-based setting. The incumbent is responsible for participating in the development, implementation and evaluation of programs in Developmental Psychology, including health promotion initiatives. Responsibilities also include providing intervention strategies for behavioral concerns co-existing with developmental delay, as well as assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Must display initiative and an ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team and be able to provide a coordinated and comprehensive approach to service delivery. This position reports directly to the Regional Manager of Developmental Health, Adult Speech and Hearing at the Corner Brook site.
Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited university with a Masters degree in Psychology. A Masters degree in Clinical Psychology is preferred. Registration with the Newfoundland and Labrador Psychology Board is required. Knowledge and experience in assessment and intervention techniques in the area of child development is essential. Knowledge of various conditions and disorders affecting children's development is required. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are also essential. Applicants who have a provisional license with the Newfoundland and Labrador Psychology Board may be considered in the event there are no suitable applicants.
**A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position.

1. Signing bonus up to $10,000
2. Student bursary up to $10,000
3. Relocation expenses up to $3000.00
4. Come Home incentive up to $50,000
Hours of Work: 75 Hours per pay period
0830-1630 Hours; Monday to Friday; Flexible hours may be required.
Salary: $80,242.50 to $94,536.00 per Annum
