Role

  • You are a technical expert who will help expand and optimize our data architecture and data transformation and delivery pipelines.
  • An experienced data wrangler who enjoys optimizing data systems to support not only software developers, database architects, data analysts, and data scientists but also business partners, data governance professionals and subject matter experts within our Anti Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (AMLTF), audit and compliance and functional groups.
  • The right candidate will be excited by the prospect of optimizing our company's AMLTF reporting data architectures to support our next generation of applications including both cloud-based reporting system as well as on-premises reporting warehouses and platforms to help drive better reporting insights from our data.
  • You are a multi-talented data professional who can embrace architecture, analytics, modeling, and development, are comfortable collaborating with business subject matter experts have a keen ability to translate business needs into requirements documents, technical solutions, and storytelling insights.

Responsibilities

  • Research, develop, deploy, and maintain end-to-end AML data and analytics solutions maximizing data pipelines and architectures to provide actionable talent metrics and insights (datasets, visualizations, dashboards) to serve business needs.
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, orchestrating and optimizing data delivery across various cloud-based and on-premises data platforms, re-designing data models for greater scalability, etc.
  • Build on and optimize the existing foundation of data pipeline architectures required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using various methods, programming languages, and software technologies, adjusting as needed to optimize effectiveness.
  • Support the construction of a common repository of AML and audit data knowledge including data dictionaries, dimension and measure definitions, platform cross walks and basic governance and lineage.
  • Manage project risks, issues, and decisions related to data requirements, ensuring proper steps are taken to mitigate, escalate, and communicate detailed updates to leadership.
  • Contribute to and review project documents, ensuring alignment between Business, Strategic, and HR data requirements, and contribute to successful data solution delivery by managing priorities, timelines, dependencies, critical paths, and solution design.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have skills:

  • 5+ years of advanced working experience with relational databases (MSSQL Server, or similar)
  • 5+ years of advanced experience with MSBI Platform Tools (SSIS, SSRS, Power BI) and Windows Automation using Power Shell
  • Expertise with object-oriented language for use with data access, data manipulation, ETL, APIs, text mining, and light analytics (including C#, Python and R)
  • Experience with Version Control collaboration tools (Git)
  • Strong management, organizational, critical thinking, analytical, communication and negotiation skills

Nice-to-have

  • Expertise with cloud computing-based data platforms like Google Cloud or Azure
  • Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or related quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Data Engineering or equivalent role.
