We have an exciting opportunity for a Construction Site Representative to join our team in our Sydney, NS office.

The Construction Site Representative will oversee daily progress at construction sites with a primary focus on civil or municipal engineering projects such as land development, municipal servicing, and road construction. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual will a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete field measurements and track quantities, as well as document daily progress and work activities;
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications and ensure conformance during construction;
  • Monitor and ensure general safety protocols are being followed to ensure a safe working environment;
  • Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration; and
  • Address any concerns or issues raised by clients, stakeholders, or team members promptly and professionally.

Your Capabilities and Credentials:

  • 5 years of experience conducting field services, in an engineering consulting firm would be considered a strong asset;
  • Diploma in engineering technology (civil) considered an asset;
  • Ability to work in a team environment to ensure project success;
  • Willingness to carry out on-site representation duties for extended periods of time;
  • Working ability with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;
  • Ability to effectively communicate; and
  • Hold a valid Nova Scotia driver's license.
