JOB PURPOSE
The Pharmacy Operations Manager is responsible for the safe, effective, and efficient provision of medication distribution services.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Entry to practice degree in Pharmacy e.g., Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy of Doctor of Pharmacy. Registered or eligible for licensure with the New Brunswick College of Pharmacists and license to practice in New Brunswick. At least five years experience in a Hospital Pharmacy.
- Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
- Ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Good work record.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Pharmacy Operations Manager is responsible for:
- Planning, implementing and managing medication distribution services
- Participating in the development, implementation and maintenance of integrated information systems and equipment
- Monitoring the quality and safety of the medication distribution service and verifying compliance with standards and regulations
- Leading medication safety and quality improvement initiatives
- Providing direction, coaching and decision support to staff
- Preparing and monitoring operational budgets
- Participating in the performance management and recruitment processes
