Basic Purpose of Position:

As a Network Engineer at Jazz, you will play a pivotal role shaping our technological infrastructure. Your primary role will be to design, implement, support, and maintain our network and network-related systems. A strong emphasis will be placed on the unwavering security of all information systems across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Network Performance and Security Metrics.
• Design, implement, and maintain network/ security infrastructure to protect information and assets.
• Manage and configure network/firewall infrastructure to, ensure optimal security and performance.
• Manage web security appliances and email gateways.
• Utilize Azure/ Active Directory/ Cisco Identity service engine to support and enhance network security.
• Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and potential threats.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
• Respond to network/ security incidents and conduct thorough investigations.
• Perform regular network/ security assessments and audits.
• Provide Tier II/III troubleshooting to the user community and Client Support Centre.
• Negotiate pricing/product with Vendors.
• Other related duties as assigned.
• Perform duties in accordance with established policies and procedures while giving primary consideration to personal safety, and the safety of co-workers and customers.

Qualifications:

• Technical degree/diploma in network technology (or) computer science and/or equivalent work experience is required.
• Minimum (5) five years of experience in network or security environment.
• Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CCNP in network or security domains.
• Demonstrated expertise in network and security design, with a comprehensive understanding of networking protocols.
• In-depth knowledge of network hardware and infrastructure.
• Proven ability to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Experience with network security protocols, firewall technologies, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex network security issues.
• A thorough understanding of the Microsoft cloud environment, especially in identity and access management.
• Must be physically fit to lift/maneuver servers/monitors and sometimes work in enclosed spaces (behind server racks, under desks, inside system cases).
