Building from a position of strength, and operating within an increasingly competitive market, AL has recently adopted an ambitious five-year growth strategy. In alignment with this strategy, the corporation is recruiting its next Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This role has a meaningful impact on the corporation's future direction, strategy operational performance, culture and returns to shareholders.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) provides strategic and operational leadership on matters related to achievement of the corporate strategy, as well as financial and operational goals of the division. They provide enterprise leadership and are accountable for corporate strategies, plans and actions that foster a culture of operational excellence, and continuous improvement. They have oversight on foundational reporting tools and systems that enable access to timely data, effective decision making and improved ROI. The CFO provides strategic financial leadership and direction on forecasting and long-term modelling based on business, player, and market trends. They have direct oversight and stewardship of people and culture, finance, supply chain management, employee communications, change management, process excellence, and business intelligence and research.
They are a champion and enabler of the corporation's strategy, demonstrated through a relentless commitment to excellence, accountability, innovation, and leadership. A forward-thinking, inclusive, and collegial leader, they are skilled at providing strategic direction and change leadership to their team, across a diverse and comprehensive portfolio.
The ideal candidate has at least fifteen (15) years of senior management experience, thrives in a culture where they are a partner to their colleagues across the enterprise in utilizing data and information for sound business decisions and for enhancing systems, processes and product and service innovation. The role requires an experienced leader with exceptional financial management and interpersonal skills who has a track record of collaboration, maximization of financial information, data and business intelligence. They are a creative problem-solver, positive, fun and energetic.
