OFFICE OF THE REGISTRAR
The Office of the Registrar provides administrative and coordination services in support of the UNB learning community. Services that we provide to students, faculty and staff include admission, academic advising (Saint John), timetabling and course set up, academic room assignment, final examinations, coordination of graduations, regulation and policy advice, as well as reporting and information requests.

Standard Work Hours: Mon - Fri | 8:00 am - 4:00 pm | 29 hours per week

Salary Range: $22.75 - $28.42 per hour

YOUR FOCUS

Reporting to the Registrar, the Curriculum Systems Coordinator is responsible for updating and maintaining curriculum records and related systems to support academic units and students, in a highly deadline driven environment.

  • Update course records within the student information system (SIS), including academic units, dates, course titles, descriptions, format options, prerequisites, status, etc. as approved by Senate.
  • Identify, advise and create equate codes, as directed by academic units, and/or based on curriculum maintenance.
  • Activate and track courses offered on registrar's or dean's warrant.
  • Coordinate with academic units, Faculties and Schools, regarding adding courses to the next calendar and curriculum year of record.
  • Review incoming course curriculum updates against existing course records.
  • Advise academic units regarding available course numbers, numbering processes, SIS and Senate approved curriculum codes, and course record history.
  • Maintain the Senate Curriculum and Non-Credit Curriculum SharePoint sites, and related records.
  • Create and maintain annual degree audits to support students and academic units and liaise with academic staff, academic advisors and transfer coordinator regarding usability.
  • Assemble elective assessments by degree and academic program for new courses.
  • Serve as Recording Secretary for Senate Curriculum Committees by preparing minutes and planning and coordinating agendas.
  • Coordinate with the Senate Office regarding curriculum documents and edits to support the annual calendar edition.
  • Communicate with all internal partners and related Senate Committees regarding the progress of new programs.
  • Conduct and review quarterly testing and maintenance on program systems platforms, or as needed.
  • Provide support on timetabling by activating new course sections, and related room bookings based on the academic needs.
  • Respond to inquiries from academic units regarding timetable, teaching space assignments, and curriculum records, in person, by phone and by email. Maintain awareness of systems integrated with curriculum records.
  • Assist with projects as required, including orientation, registration and graduation.
  • Other duties as required.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a university setting.
  • Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Additional Strengths

  • Experience in a records related environment is preferred.
  • Proven adaptability and flexibility.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and databases is required.
  • Excellent reading, writing and comprehension skills.
  • Experience in an Ellucian environments would be an asset.
  • Confidentiality and professionalism required.
