Salary: To be commensurate with qualifications and experience in the range of $22,011 - $25,896 per annum, based on a 17.5 hour per week schedule.

Responsibilities

Acadia seeks a half-time (17.5 hours/week) Payroll and HR Assistant in the Human Resources Department to contribute to the production of accurate and timely payrolls and to provide general reception and administrative support to the department.

Specific duties will include:

  • Payroll data entry into the HRIS system for the bi-weekly salary, bi-weekly hourly and monthly payrolls.
  • Maintain electronic and hard-copy documentation and file accordingly.
  • Assist in maintaining the group payroll inbox.
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to payroll staff and other team members as required.
  • Tracking of expenditures through purchase orders and procurement cards, maintain budget database, assist with budget preparation, and maintain office supply inventory.
  • Administer and maintain centralized filing system.
  • Collect and distribute office mail.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a recognized post-secondary program in either business or office administration.

  • Payroll knowledge and/or experience.

  • Strong data entry skills with thoroughness and attention to detail.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Ability to stay focused and on task.

  • Sensitivity to work with detailed and strictly confidential material.

  • Must be comfortable working in a team environment where assignments and processes are closely integrated with the work of others.

  • Applicants must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.

  • Experience with automated payroll systems preferred.
