The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Mobile Maintenance Planner to join our Mobile Team at Totten Mine in Sudbury.

This is a permanent position, working Monday to Friday, 8-hours day shifts.

As a Mobile Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, scheduling, and coordination of mobile equipment maintenance activities. Your experience and skills will ensure that all mobile assets are maintained to high operational standards, optimizing equipment availability, and minimizing downtime to support operational needs in accordance with the safety and operational standards. The job holder will continuously improve the work team (crew) performance through effective use of established processes and procedures at various plants or mines within the Sudbury area.

Additionally, in this position you will:

  • Adhere to maintenance business processes as outlined in Maintenance Planning and Control (MPC) by using approved systems (SAP, Prometheus, etc.), tools and standards.
  • Establish and maintain work relationships with the various key plant stakeholders including supervisors, schedulers, superintendents, crew members, etc.
  • Execute the "Planning and Provisioning" element of the process for all types of work orders - systematic and non-systematic maintenance. This includes shutdown (PMP) and external resource related work.
  • Coordinate and facilitate all required planning/scheduling routines.
  • Ensure WO user statuses are properly maintained throughout the lifecycle of the work order.
  • Review and promote/reject all new notifications into your work center through the group approval process.

About You

Education:

  • Grade 12 completed or GED equivalent is required.
  • College diploma or university degree in a related industrial field or a university degree in a related engineering discipline is preferred.
  • Valid industrial trade certificate for the province of Ontario.
  • Generic Supervisor Common Core (770141).

Experience:

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience working within SAP and the Prometheus add-on.
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience leading crews.
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the HDET trade.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with Microsoft Office Products, etc.

Skills:

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and work well with others in a team environment.
  • Written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be obsessed with safety and risk.
  • Demonstrate open and transparent dialogue in all aspects of work.
