Clearwater Seafoods' Accounts Receivable department requires a full time permanent Accounts Receivable Clerk in Bedford, N.S.

Purpose of Position

This position is responsible to prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.

Reporting Structure

This position reports to: Accounts Receivable Manager

Responsibilities

Major Responsibilities

• Monitor customer balances and follow up on balances and deductions as required

• Apply cash receipts to customer accounts

• Weekly preparation of cash forecast

• Prepare documentation and facilitation of credit applications, changes and approvals

• Preparation of working papers

• Manage customer and internal inquiries

• Assist with audit inquiries

• Customer statement preparation and distribution

Qualifications

• Business degree or diploma or 2 years equivalent work experience

• Above average knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• SAP user knowledge is an asset

• Clear and effective communication skills, both verbally and written  Good problem solving skills
