Job Title: Purchaser
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Salary: $50,000-$60,000 annually
Location: Oakville, Ontario - Third Line & South Service Road
Our client is hiring a permanent Purchasing Specialist to join their team! This company provides services including Tool Reconditioning, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Vending, Product Engineering and more! The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service and problem-solving skills, and intermediate knowledge of Excel.
Employee Responsibilities:
· Become an expert of the products and services being supplied to customers
· Respond to customer inquiries about products, pricing, and availability
· Communicate with customers and other team members over phone and email
· Manage customer orders; review and track backorders with inventory planners and warehouse staff, offering alternatives where applicable
· Resolve issues with delivery, inventory, and invoicing - process returns and replacement orders as necessary
· Provide excelled customer service and build relationships with new and existing customers
· Other general administrative tasks as assigned
Requirements:
· 2-3 years of previous experience in similar purchasing or buyer role
· Previous experience in similar industrial environment preferred
· Adaptable in a fast-paced environment
· Demonstrates clear communication over the phone and email
· Shows initiative and is a team-player
· Strong computer skills and long-term experience using Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook
