Full-Time, Part-Time and Casual Youth Care Workers

HomeBridge Youth Society offers an interdisciplinary approach to youth care in multiple facilities around the metro area as well as Bridges for Learning, an accredited school program. Youth between the ages of 12 and 18 experience therapeutic interventions, support, and opportunities with a focus on evidence-based approaches to stabilization, education and life skills. We are currently looking for Youth Care Workers:

Here's what you need to get an interview:

  • Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in the Social Science field OR
  • Diploma in Child and Youth Care, Social Services or another related field of study
  • Experience working in the field of Child & Youth, specifically with children and youth with complex mental health and/or addictions issues preferred
  • An excellent attitude and willingness to learn

Skills and Abilities:

  • Working understanding of current Youth Care Practices
  • Awesome inter-personal, communication and organizational skills
  • An ability to connect with young people who are resistant to developing relationships
  • eamwork and a desire to have fun at work
  • Open and willing to work shift work, including overnights, weekends and holidays
  • Valid certification in First Aid/CPR, (ASIST) Suicide Intervention, NVCI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, and Mental Health First Aid are considered assets

  • $21.96 an hour or more to start depending on your experience and position

  • Shift premium rates are applied on nights and weekends ($3.50 per hour on nights and weekends)

Available positions:

  • Multiple permanent Full-Time and Part-Time positions, ranging from 24 hours bi- weekly to 80 hours bi-weekly
  • Several casual positions are available to those who would prefer to not have a set schedule of hours every week
